Crooked Timber returns to one of the blogosphere's perennial questions: Should budding academics blog? My gut tells me that blogging in the way I do is probably a net negative for my eventual job prospects, but I'm hoping it won't be prohibitively so, and in the meantime it's been strongly positive for me on any number of other fronts, including as a technology for developing and organizing my research.
