The Pew Forum's Religion in American Culture page is filled with maps, stats, and polling data about American spiritual life. One caveat: atheists seem to be lumped in a catch-all category called "Unaffliated," which both artificially inflates the numbers and makes the data set essentially useless in figuring out where or who we are, or what we tend to believe.
