Friend-of-a-friend Huma Yusef has a nice reflective piece on coming of age in the Benazir Bhutto era in the Boston Globe today.

The only news this morning is the assassination of Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto, an opposition leader who in 1988 was the first woman elected as head of state in a modern Islamic nation and who had returned to Pakistan after an eight-year exile only a few weeks ago. MetaFilter has an ongoing thread; I find there and Wikipedia are still the best places to go for up-to-the-minute information on breaking news like this.
